Originally the Max Mara fashion house, in 2007 the structure was converted into an art exhibition space. The English architect, Andrew Hapgood has chosen a transparent and respectful approach, while preserving the crude essence of the construction.

The interventions that conveyed this conversion were structural in the shell, new volumes and new interior design scheme with large entrances to the east and west façades, the large windows screened by the restoration of the brise soleil originals of the 1970s were renovated.

The interior spaces are illuminated by three new linear skylights reflecting the light inside the building.
